Q. Can Hot Water Heaters be used in cold conditions?
A.  Yes. our collectors can be used in temperatures as low as –30degrees C, although performance is greatly reduced in such extreme conditions.  Good heat output is still achieved in mild sub-zero conditions.

Most energy is used during boiler fire up - So even in the worst solar conditions if your water is heated to 20 or 30 degrees C, your boiler has to work less to heat that water to 60degrees.
